Abstract

Real-time image subtraction and summation of two image-bearing phase conjugate waves were demonstrated by using a novel mutually pumped phase conjugator induced by self-pumped phase conjugate reflection, for either a complete or an edge enhancement phase conjugate output of the image carrying on the signal. In experiment, and Ar+ laser with output wavelength of 488 nm was used as light source, and a 16° cut KNSBN crystal was adopted. The resolution of phase conjugate output image is as high as 50 pl/mm.
