Reachable set estimation for periodic piecewise time-varying systems

Abstract

This paper studies the reachable set estimation problem for a type of periodic piecewise time-varying systems. Based on a general reachable set estimation lemma for periodic piecewise systems with bounded disturbances, an efficient criterion of reachable set estimation is established. Owing to the Lyapunov function on basis of interval segmentation, the criterion can contribute to less conservative results in reachable set estimation. A numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed approach, and comparisons show its efficiency and lower conservatism in estimating the reachable set bounds.
