Abstract

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) radar has been studied in the last years for its suitability to combine simultaneous radar-radio operations. In this paper, we focus on the radar processing of pulsed waveforms, where each pulse is composed of several OFDM chirps with the proper phase codes. We derive a radar processing algorithm that achieves an estimate of the range and velocity of the point-scatter-target. Moreover, the performance of the radar algorithm is analyzed in detail. Theoretical analysis and numerical results show that, the presented method can achieve higher-resolution range-velocity image of the target, while keep a low computational complexity.
