Abstract
Seismic ground motion under a certain seismic intensity is taken as a random process and simulated as a stationary filtered non-white noise model. The parameters are determined using the statistical duration of strong seismic records and the maximum seismic ground acceleration used in the current code. A practical formula of seismic displacement root variance for the SDOF system is obtained by computation, statistical analysis and simplification. Furthermore, the random seismic response spectrum and equivalent random seismic static load are presented, and also, practical methods are presented for the analysis of random responses and reliability of aseismic structures. -from English summary
