Abstract

The component-connection method was introduced to solve the problem of constructing QSIM models from a complex physical system directly. A QSIM modeling system named as QSIM-CC system based on component-connection was proposed accordingly. By analyzing the structure of specific physical system, the component-connection model was built, and it could be translated into the qualitative differential equation (QDE) for QSIM algorithm. The component-connection model could establish an efficient relationship between QDEs and the physical system, which made it easier to build the QSIM model from a complex system. An example of hydraulic pressure system was given in the end to build a qualitative model of a single tank system based on QSIM component-connection mechanism, and the simulation results were given finally.
