Public open space planning and design in high-rise settlements of winter cities

With the rapid development of China's urbanization, the construction of high-rise buildings in cities increases a lot. High-rise settlements in northern winter cities develop very fast. The problems of outdoor public open space environment caused by high-rise residential building layout have begun to attract people's attention. Winter city has a long winter time and harsh climatic conditions. In order to improve the quality of public open space environment and create a livable environment in high-rise settlements, Harbin is taken as an example in this paper, combined with field surveys, computer simulation and other methods, and existing situation and problems of public open spaces in high-rise settlements are analyzed deeply. Then influence factors of public open space environment quality of high-rise settlements are studied. And from the aspects of location, layout, landscape and others, some planning and design measures of public open spaces in high-rise settlements response to cold climate are proposed.
