abstract = "Currently, fault protection in DC power systems is an attractive yet difficult research topic. In this paper, a novel DC solid-state fault current limiter (SSFCL) with is proposed. The basic topology and the working principle of the proposed current limiter are presented. Then the working modes of the proposed topology are analyzed. Then the trigger conditions and working time of the topology proposed in this paper are analyzed. Corresponding results show that the novel current limiter can effectively restrain the rapid rise of DC fault currents at fault time.",
