Progress on carbon fiber reinforced cement sensor

Abstract

The sensor that made by carbon fiber reinforce cement (CFRC) is one new kind of sensor for long time health monitoring of concrete structure. In this paper, the key producing technologies of CFRC sensor such as raw material selecting and treating, cement paste mixing technology, electrode embedding method are introduced, the challenging problems that blocking CFRC sensor using in practical engineering are discussed. The conclusions that improving specific resistance of CFRC is key problem to accelerate its application in real engineering, and introducing new facilities or technology is main may to improve specific resistance of CFRC are presented.
