Abstract

The creation, operation and evolution of Agile Virtual Enterprise (AVE) involve a great deal of model reuse. Firstly, four modeling paradigms of AVE modeling, namely without reference, component based, partner-enterprise-model based and AVE-model based, are discussed. On this basis, the concepts of Generative Enterprise Modeling (G-EM) and Variant Enterprise Modeling (V-EM) are put forward. To support the G-EM, a Case Based Reasoning model reuse method is advanced. Finally, using an efficiency indicator proposed, the above modeling paradigms and model reuse method are analyzed and compared concisely.
