As producing QT interval prolongation and causes fatal cardiac arrhythmias, it has been withdrawn from clinical uses. However, exact mechanisms for the proarrhythmic effects of cisapride are incompletely unclear. In this study, we implemented a biophysically detailed computational model of the heart to quantify the effects of the cisapride on cardiac electrical activities at cellular and tissue levels, from which we analyzed the proarrhythmic effects of the agent.",
