Abstract

Reasonably good agreement with pressure-induced changes of hole concentration in Tl2Ba2CuO6+δ compounds can be obtained on the basis of a pressure-induced charge transfer model. The calculated pressure derivative of maximum Tc of 0.87 K/GPa within the van Hove singularity scenario and the predicted variation of Tc with pressure in bilayer Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8 are in excellent agreement with experiments.
