Preparation of thermal control coatings of ZnO/SiO2 core-shell

Abstract

The ZnO particles coated with SiO2 can improve the space environment adaptability of ZnO thermal control coating. In this paper, the ZnO particle coated with SiO2 were prepared by chemical precipitation, the surface morphology and composition of ZnO coated with SiO2 were analyzed, and the solar absorpatances before and after ultraviolet radiation were measured. The result showed that the amorphous SiO2 layer chemically bonded to ZnO surface uniformly, and the thermal control coating had good anti-vacuum ultraviolet radiation ability.
