Abstract
Three-dimensionally ordered macroporous (3-DOM) yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) was prepared by using polystyrene sphere (PS) colloid crystals as templates. The dip-drawing method was used to infill the interstitial spaces between polystyrene spheres. The PS template was removed by calcination, and 3-DOM YSZ was obtained. The concentration of YSZ precursor, the infiltration times and calcination conditions have important effects on the formation of the ordered porous structure. The morphologies of the porous YSZ films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The results show that well ordered 3-DOM YSZ can be obtained when the concentration of the sol is 0.3-0.4 mo1/L by infiltrating with one or two infilling times and calcinating at 600°C.
