Abstract

A novel adsorbent involved a kind of life-form lipoid (triolein) was developed. Preparation method, structure, and adsorbing characterization of the adsorbent were discussed. The results showed that the surface of the adsorbent was stable membrane of polyamide, free from obvious cracks holes, or other defects; while the cross section of the adsorbent was meshy and a lot of cavities were found. The adsorption results of atrazine show that the adsorbent has higher efficient for organic pollutants, the adsorption rate is about 65% after 12h. The adsorbent has a good atrazine removal capacity close to powder active carbon (PAC). LAM possible has two kinds of atrazine removal mechanisms which includes bioaccumulation of core material and physical adsorption of membrane's hollows, and the bioaccumulation is the main removal way.
