Preliminary research on new cooperative earthquake-resistance and disaster relief system for rural buildings in China

On the basis of the analysis of the status of earthquake-resistance and disaster-relief for rural buildings, consulting the rural cooperative medical insurance system in China, a new cooperative earthquake-resistance and disaster-relief system for rural buildings is put forward. In this system, earthquake risk of rural buildings and insurance expense are undertaken together by farmers and government And then, the basic structure about the cooperative earthquake-resistance and disaster-relief system is given. The primary influencing factor to determine the insurance- expense is presented. By use of questionnaire investigation, the feasibility of the rural cooperative earthquake resistance and disater relief system is studied and the insurance expense and the rational proportion between the farmers and the government are discussed.
