Abstract

As the applications of PSS(Power System Stabilizer) based on classic linear/nonlinear control in nonlinear and time-varying modern power system are really non-satisfying, the PSS based on grey prediction technology and extension control strategy is proposed, which combines the "prior control" of grey prediction and the real-time performance of extension control without precise mathematical model to effectively suppress low-frequency oscillation and improve system stability. The simulative results of a multi-machine system show that, compared with the traditional PSS or the PSS based on extension control, it has better control effect.
