Abstract

Indicated in this paper is the underlying cause of the generation of nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the boiler steam pressure generalized object in a monobloc thermal power plant. A comparison was made of the power-frequency governing and pure speed governing as regards their respective influence on the dynamic characteristics of the boiler steam pressure generalized object. Analyzed was the positive role of the power-frequency governing for achieving the linearization of the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the steam pressure generalized object. The results of a study have shown that under the condition of a load perturbation (outside perturbation) the introduction of the power-frequency governing proves to be a very effective method for realizing the linearization of nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the above-mentioned generalized object. This means that under wide-range off-design operating conditions the application of the power-frequency governing may result in a high consistency of full-range performance for the boiler steam pressure characteristics. The study results can provide some major guidelines for the analysis of thermal power plant characteristics and the design of a monobloc thermal power plant through the use of linear system theory.
