Abstract

In order to grope for a simple and availability measure which can detect the position of the rotor, a new method was put forward. The double sides' axial exciting coils' EMF was analyzed based on the partial magnetic network model of the motor which is according to the characteristics of structure and parameter of it. The double sides' axial exciting coils EMF's equations can provide the rotor's position. These equations provide the theoretic method to measure the position of the motor. The experiment and simulation show that this measure's calculation is simple; it is not necessary to afford the parameter; the EMF is less affected by the currents of the radical exciting coils and it has the ability of anti-jamming. This measure can be used in sensorless control with this motor.
