Abstract
In order to acquire the weak direct sequence spread spectrum (DS/SS) signal in the unknown non-Gaussian noise model for DS/SS system, a new pre-correlation one-dimensional amplitude detection technology based on integral maximum entropy probability density function (PDF) estimation and locally optimal detector (LOD) is proposed in this paper. The Monte Carlo simulation result shows that when the noise is non-Gaussian, the detection probability of LOD based on integral maximum entropy PDF estimation exceeds the common SS detector obviously, and the detection probability is improved by 2.0%~99.0% when signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is-25~0 dB, and that the performance of common SS detector drops sharply so much as unusable with non-Gaussian noise is changed at all.
