Abstract
In accordance with the features of typical large and medium manufacturing enterprises in China, the practical architecture of the production management system (PMS) was proposed. The general concept and composition of the PMS were presented. The integrated methodology of CIM based on graphs with results and activities inter-related (GRAI) model was used to perform system analysis and design with a case study. The GRAI grid described relation between functions and time, and GRAI net characterized activities and its relations for each decision for some factory were given. According to the proposed PMS architecture, the shop production management support system (SPMSS), as shop production auxiliary management system, was developed, which includes planning management module, data management module and data chain channel module.
