Abstract

In this paper, a pitch-curve design method of non-circular planetary gear mechanism with internal cylindrical gear is presented according to gear meshing theory. In the planetary gear mechanism, planetary gear and one of the center gears are external non-circular gears while another center gear is internal cylindrical gear, and the length of planet carrier is variable. With its simple manufacture and convenient assembly, the planetary gear mechanism will be widely applied in the future.
