Abstract

In this paper, the dispersion curve of circumferential horizontal shear (CSH) guided wave in pipeline is obtained based on finite element method, and CSH0 mode guided wave is selected for defect detection. In order to excite CSH0 mode guided wave successfully, a ring piezoelectric array transducer is designed in this paper. The simulation results show that this transducer can effectively excite CSH0 mode guided wave and realize defect detection.
