Abstract
The pilot-scale study was carried out to research feasibility of shower water treatment and reuse by novel low fouling NF membrane. The results made sure of such condition as optimal operation condition; pressure of 0.6 MPa, permeate flow of 26.7 (L/m2·h), recovery rate of 85% and demineralization rate of 73%, under which the performance of NF membrane was high, removal of COD, BOD, and LAS up to 94.9%, 96% and 98%, respectively. The effluents meet the Miscellaneous Domestic Water Quality Standard (CJ25.1-89), including microorganism guideline. Membrane flux was kept steady during operation period. The membrane-cleaning cycle was sixty days, cleaning method incorporated chemical cleaning and water washing.
