Phonon Amplification via Transparent PbZrO3 Layer on Top of SrRuO3/SrTiO3 Heterostructures

Abstract

By growing PbZrO3 with two different thicknesses on the SrRuO3/SrTiO3 heterojunction and conducting femtosecond pump-probe experiments, we observed a 3.52- fold amplification of coherent acoustic phonons oscillations in SrTiO3 substrate via thermoelastic stress.
