Abstract
A novel compression and reconstruction method for periodical data produced in thermal power plant was proposed. Firstly, the periodical data was converted from 1-D to 2-D in order to reduce the redundancy more efficiently. Then the constructed 2-D matrix was decomposed based on 2-D lifting wavelet transform via a biorthogonal filters. The real-life periodical data were used to test this method. Simulation result indicates that the proposed method can achieve better performance comparing to the method based on 1-D wavelet transform. This scheme is suitable for periodical data compression in large thermal power plant and has a wide potential in application.
