Performance of curved compressor cascades with large camber angles at different incidences

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The flow filed of compressor cascades with three large camber angles at different incidences is measured by five-hole probe in details, and the influence of flow separation and vortex structure on the compressor bowed cascade aerodynamic performances was numerically studied. The results show the transit of the multi-vortex structure to single-vortex structure in compressor cascades flow passage is evidence, and the radial interaction of vortex near suction section is increased by using bowed blade. When positive bowed blade is used in high-loading compressor cascades, the deterioration of flow at endwall must be restrained.
