Performance improvement of second-order constrained linear systems by using RG reshaping technique

Abstract

As an 'add-on' part, the reference governor (RG) plays an important role in the systems with state or/and output constraints. However, little attraction of control performance was received in the past researches of the constrained systems. In this paper, an RG reshaping technique is proposed to improve the control performance of the constrained systems despite of the existing controllers for the second-order linear systems. Benefited from the simplified computation, the proposed method can achieve better control performance by changing the constraint conditions online. Finally, a numerical example shows the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
