Abstract

The use of multiple-antenna terminals has been identified as an enabling technique for high-rate transmissions over wireless channels. In this paper, we investigate the performance of a single-relay cooperative scenario where the source, relay and destination terminals are all equipped with multiple-antennas. We consider decode-and-forward (DF) relaying technique and assume that conventional space-time block codes (STBC) are employed in source to relay (S - R), source to destination (S-D), and relay to destination (R-D) links. In our analysis and simulation, the correlation between different antennas at the same mobile terminal is taken into account.
