Abstract
The presence of metal-based dielectrics on microwave has been widely studied with the potential in enhancing microwave energy transmission. For the purpose of broadening the microwave energy transmission efficiency, the addition of metal-based dielectrics on microwave process were experimentally investigated, the peak characteristics of energy transmission were analyzed in details. The results showed that the microwave energy transmission achieves the peak values under the match of between particle and microwave frequency. Two sets of matching were obtained in the experiment: a) 70 μm-2475 MHz while the maximum discharge intensity was enhanced by 313.1%; b) 40 μm-2425 MHz while the maximum discharge intensity was enhanced by 546.2%. Metal-based Particles’ dielectric constant and microwave parameters only affect the magnitude of the peak value, not the optimal peak point. Meanwhile, the differential selectivity of frequency and size was initially explained and provided theoretical references for metal-based particles to enhance microwave absorption applications.
