Abstract

The utilization of sulfonium salts in synthesis has gained significant attention in recent years due to their easy-to-handle features and robust reactivity. Herein, we report a Pd/Xantphos-catalyzed C(sp2)−P cross-coupling reaction of aryl thianthrenium salts with organophosphorus compounds, including H-phosphonate diesters, H-phosphinate esters, and secondary phosphine oxides. This protocol tolerates an array of functional groups and is applicable to gram-scale synthesis and late-stage functionalization of complex molecules.
