Pattern recognition in the framework of intuitionistic fuzzy sets based on information entropy

Abstract

In this paper, we propose an information entropy-based attribute selection method for the pattern recognition problem under intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Furthermore, we propose a pattern classification method based on the weighted distance measures. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the newly proposed attribute selection method and the pattern classification method, by comparing the two methods with existing fuzzy pattern recognition methods based on distance measures.
