Abstract
Considering that the path-attitude decoupling of air-breathing hypersonic vehicles (AHSV) greatly reduces the maneuverability of path control, a controller design method using canard coordinated with the elevator is proposed. First of all, based on the analysis of internal mechanisms of path-attitude decoupling, the strategy to solve this problem is provided. Then a longitudinal attitude controller based on the proposed method is designed and compared with the existing method via attitude overshoot. The simulation results prove that the proposed method is more effective, which not only solves the path-attitude decoupling efficiently, but also maintains the good dynamic performance of the angle of attack.
