Abstract
This paper considers the pole assignment problem for discrete-time linear periodic systems through the use of linear periodic output feedback control. The monodromy matrix of the closed-loop system is represented as a special form by which the periodic control law can be obtained via the solution to a time-inviant Sylvester matrix equation. By utilizing a recent result on Sylvester matrix equation, a complete parametric approach for pole assignment via periodic output feedback is proposed, and a new algorithm is presented. A numerical example shows the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
