Parametric design of hydraulic motor with multi cylindrical gears

Abstract

Aiming at the problems of small unit volume displacement and output torque, large pulse ratio and unbalance of self radial liquid-pressure for the hydraulic motor with an external mesh spur gear, a new type of hydraulic motor with multi cylindrical gears is proposed, and a thorough study on its working principles is carried out. Based on the different forms of the structure, it can be divided into two types: external mesh and balance type hydraulic motor, and their names are defined. Calculation formulas of the main performance indexes of the two types are given. Under the condition of meeting the displacement requirement and at the point of the small volume, a parametric design software of the two types is developed. The given design instance provides a convenient, reliable and practical design method for this type of hydraulic motor.
