Abstract
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) based satellite communication (SatCom) network is expected to be an indispensable part of future communication networks, while diverse constraints significantly limit its system performance. In this paper, we explore the outage performance of a NOMA-based multi-user SatCom system under various adverse factors, including polarization conversion, which has not been investigated yet. The closed-form expressions and asymptotic approximations of outage probability for multiple users are derived, providing valuable insights into the impact of the composite influencing factors on the outage performance. Monte Carlo simulations verify the accuracy of the theoretical results and the influence of system and channel parameters on outage probability is revealed.
