Abstract

In this paper, orthogonal time-frequency space (OTFS) is applied to low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites in non-terrestrial network (NTN). Firstly, the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) problem in LEO satellites is focused, and the PAPR upper bound of OTFS is derived. Then the PAPR is analyzed when the total number of points is unchanged and only the values of M and N are changed. It is found that the value of N is more sensitive to PAPR. Then we analyze the channel estimation mean square error (MSE) and CP overhead of with the same total points. The simulation results show that the trend of PAPR is opposite to the MSE of channel estimation when the total number of points is the same. It lays a foundation for the system optimization under LEO satellites.
