Abstract

Orthogonal core harmonic model is essential for the analysis of harmonic power reduction and filter design. This paper derives mathematical formulas model of control current and ac working current by describing orthogonal core magnetic circuit and operation theory. The mathematical expression integrates the Fourier series, magnetization segment approximate curve and magnetic saturation, provides the harmonic magnitude of control and working side. This orthogonal core harmonic model is characterized by simple calculation and with high precision for the harmonics analysis, the control even harmonic and working odd harmonic equations are given in this paper. It also presents a new method of adding specific wave at the control side, which can compensate the producing harmonic value to reduce harmonic. This orthogonal core harmonic model is effectiveness of the proposed model.
