Abstract

In this paper the extruding testing of a selected single fiber of SiC/Al composite was conducted by using the tester of the original characteristics of interface strength. The shear stress of interface friction was analysed by shear-hysteresis analytic method. It was found that the shear strength of the interface for SiC/Al composite is markedly related to the composite technology. A new way was provided to estimate the chemical reaction of interface quantitatively and to instruct material technology.
