Optimum design of planetary wheel of lunar rover

Abstract

To solve the contradiction between mass of planetary wheel of lunar rover and its passing obstacle capability the planetary wheel design is optimized by the objective function that the wheel mass is lightest. The mathematic model of optimum design consists of discrete integer variable, discrete real variable and continuous variable. There are many nonlinear inequation restrain. Solving the optimum design is given by layered dimensionality reduction enumeration method, calculation program written and the calculated results is reasonable and satisfied with design request.
