Abstract
SO2, NOx, Hg and PM2.5 in the atmosphere are mainly from the thermal power plants. But these pollutants removal efficiency for most of the power units is not high enough to satisfy the newest national standard, and the modification cost is high. A simple and low cost technology named integrated pollutants control equipment with filter bags and activated carbon (AC) absorber (fix bed or mobile bed) was designed to absorb the additional pollutants between the old and newest standards. Optimization of the equipment especial the absorbers by the flow simulation was accomplished by computer information processing technology. The equipment with clapboards and guide plates was optimized structure. The flow field in the integrated pollutants control equipment was easier to be uniform than the bag filter. The best diameter of the fix bed absorber and the best diameter and velocity of the mobile bed absorber were got.
