Abstract

How to effectively reduce the return water temperature and increase the temperature difference between supply and return water of the primary heating circuit has become the main concern for many heating companies in order to meet growing heating demands. This paper presents the optimized operation method of plate heat exchangers in the heat exchange station for district heating to improve heat supply capacity of the primary heating circuit. By analyzing operational problems of existing heat exchange stations during several heating seasons in a heating company, appropriate optimization objectives were put forward. Then a couple of basic optimization modules were proposed with theoretical analysis under different application situations. Moreover, schematic diagram of the whole optimization combination selection based on optimization modules within the heat exchange station was given. Reconstruction of several heat exchange stations was conducted and tested during 2016–2017 heating season according to the above theoretical research results.
