Abstract

To achieve the trade-off among time, cost and quality of the process in a certain resource context, a method based on resource was introduced. The properties of cost, quality and supporting resource were added to an activity. And the completion time, cost and quality measures of an activity were defined as the function of activity-supporting resource. By controlling the quantity and quality of the activity-supporting resource, the method was used to control the time, cost and quality of an activity. Based on Critical Path Method (CPM), the trade -off among time, cost and quality of a process was achieved by appropriate distribution of resources among the activities of the process.
