Optimal design of pulse compression magnetic switch serial system

Abstract

In order to reduce the total ferro-magnetic material volume and the energy loss of the serial magnetic switches in power pulse system, the operation theory and the operation course of the magnetic switch are analyzed. As a result, the calculation expression of a magnetic switch core is derivated. Based on the analysis of the factors that effect the magnetic switch core volume, the optimal design scheme according to the principle that minimized the total volume and the energy loss of the serial magnetic switch core is presented under the condition that ferro-core used the same material and the total ratio of the system was a constant.
