Abstract

The structure and fundamental principle of DMD dynamic infrared scene projection system is described, and the projection optics system is designed. This projection system uses refraction model, it collimates the infrared light output from digital mirror device in 3-5 μm and 8-12 μm, and enables an image system to be tested out of 1.3° field of view. The effective focal length of this F/3.2 system is about 480 mm. The result of this design is analyzed, and the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) for five-field position in 3-5 μm and 8-12 μm show the better performance of the optical system.
