Abstract

Optical limiting in C60/PMMA was studied by using a laser pulse with a pulse width of 2 ps at the wavelength of 532 nm, and the three-level model was used for simulation. The C60/PMMA samples used in experiment have respective linear transmissivities of 54% and 33%. The theoretical simulation result based on the singlet excited state absorption model is in agreement with the experimental ones. the results show that the optical limiting is caused by the singlet excited state absorption.
