Abstract

In this paper the principle of induction motor for driving HEV is analyzed when running in state of generator. Based on induction motor's equivalent circuit, it is concluded both the slip range when feeding back to storage battery and the optimum slip at peak generating efficiency. Generator can operate at peak efficiency in terms of the optimum slip controlling excitation current and frequency of induction motor. Optimum slip vector control system of induction motor for driving HEV is designed. The experiment results are satisfying. Analyzing and testing in this paper will provide theoretic and experimental support for optimum control of HEV.
