abstract = "Different infrastructure resources are utilized by the Cloud broker to meet the demands of the users so that the monetary cost is minimized. To a certain extent, the demands of the users can be collected or forecasted in advance, and some off-line algorithms can be used to plan the schemes to use the resources. But it is unavoidable some demands will be unpredictable and thus the input information will be inaccurate. This blunts greatly the practical effectiveness the off-line algorithms. It is impracticable to apply the off-line algorithm with great fluctuation caused by the sudden demands. This paper addresses the challenge by an online algorithm. Extensive real world traces driven evaluations show that the proposed algorithm can save cost up to 14\%.",
