On the union-closed sets conjecture

Abstract

We give a new proof of a theorem of Lo Faro concerning minimal counterexamples to the union-closed conjecture, and we prove some new results concerning the “ε-version” of the union-closed conjecture, and concerning the minimal maximal frequency in union-closed families.
