Abstract

The ellipsometry method proposed by C.C.Teng etc. in 1990 (in Appl. Phys. Lett., 1990, 56(18):1734) was studied here in detail, and their formula on the γ33 calculation was replaced with a right one based on a simplified model. Besides, the electrooptic coefficient of one kind of polarized polymers was measured and compared with the SHG method. In addition, the factors that affect the measurement results as well as the limits of the method were also discussed here.
