Abstract

The absorption properties in excited state and the optical limiting behaviors of organometallic C60-chromium derivatives were studied experimentally by using a double frequency ns/ps Nd:YAG pulse laser system with 532 nm wavelength and 21 ps pulse-width. The experimental results were analyzed by using the singlet excited state absorption theory, and were shown to agree well with the theoretical analysis. Compared with the optical limiting of Fullerene toluene solution, the experimental results show that these new materials have good optical limiting properties.
